Principal’s Welcome

Greetings in the name of St. Agnes!

My name is Will Summer and I am excited and honored to serve this amazing community as principal.

“Welcome home!”

It was with these words that my family and I were greeted when we set foot on the campus of St. Agnes for the first time together. Simple words, yet so impactful!

My background has exposed me to numerous Catholic cultures, parishes, and religious orders. Most influential to me has been the Salesians, and their unique charism. Their founder, St. “Don” John Bosco created a holistic philosophy that meets young people where they are, and then accompanies them on their life journey. To put it into catchy phrases… every Salesian entity is a Home that welcomes, a School that prepares for life, a Parish that evangelizes, and a Playground where friends meet. Here at St. Agnes School, we intentionally work to bring these phrases to life.

“Welcome home!”

Three different parish community members received my family and I with this same greeting on our first visit!

I immediately associated that greeting with the family atmosphere that great Catholic schools create. To ensure that his schools also felt like homes for the students, St. Don Bosco developed an educational methodology that focused on three things: Reason, Religion, and Loving Kindness. This methodology guides the adults in their relationships with students. At St. Agnes School, we work to develop relationships between all stakeholders, to create a home for all families.

“Welcome home!”

Stop by our school office to find out how you can become a part of our…

FAMILY (a Home that welcomes),

devoted to our Catholic FAITH (a Parish that evangelizes),

committed to our students’ FUTURE (a School that prepares for life),

and of course, a place for FUN (a Playground where friends meet).

May God bless you, and… welcome home!

Mr. William P. Summer, M.Ed.

Principal
